EDUCATION, FASTENERS AND FUTURE

The series of visits by the second classes of the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) Collegio San Carlo secondary school in Milan to the Fontana Luigi plant in Veduggio con Colzano and the Lobo plant in Cornaredo started last March 6. The visit to the Company represents the conclusion of a student project that began last year and focused on Leonardo da Vinci’s screw. Initially, the students had studied and made a screw with a 3D printer; then, ICT teacher Elena Radaelli deemed the Fontana Gruppo ideal to show them the fastener production process up close. Fabrizio Fontana, Fontana Gruppo Global Communication Director, comments on the initiative: “This is an excellent opportunity to create new synergies with local educational institutions and to know our reality to future generations, on which the Group has always been focusing.”

The visits will continue throughout March, every Monday, involving eight College classes. Leonardo3 Museum curator Edoardo Zanon will also participate.
